About me

Photography has been my great passion for a long time. In recent years, I have tried a lot, first with analogue, then exclusively with digital technology. Today I use both analogue and digital cameras, depending on what I want to do. I have acquired my knowledge autodidactically and in seminars.

My photographic work is largely influenced by what happens around me and then moves within me. So much is happening today that I have to process for myself. The world as I knew it is being turned upside down. This is terrible for me and artistically stimulating at the same time. Hardly a day goes by without impressions that I want to translate into photographs.

My photographic work is not easy to describe because I don't have a favourite subject or a particular style. I meander photographically through the world, pursuing one or more of my ideas at the same time.

Conceptual photographers such as Erwin Olaf, William Wegman, Roger Ballen, Gilbert Garcin and Chema Madoz have been influential for my photographic work, and Martin Pudenz and film director Michel Gondri in particular for my grotesque self-portraits.
